STNA Training and Competency
Evaluation Program for Long-Term Care
The Nurse Aide is an individuals who provides nursing-related services to
patients or residents in long-term care or acute care facilities. These
services are activities including attending to the personal care needs of
patients and residents as well as those activities assigned by a nurse.
After successful completion of the program, the participant is qualified to take
the State Test for Nursing Assistants.

Prerequisites
- Negative 2-step Mantoux Test or results of a negative chest x-ray
- Physical Exam (before first day of class)
AttendanceThe program requires attendance
at all session of the 75-hour program. Absolutely no exceptions will be
accepted during the first 16 hours of class. All make-ups must be
documented and completed within 60 days of class start date. Cost for
make-up is $25.00/hr (paid in advance). If the student is absent and does
not notify the school, they will be dismissed.

Contact the Career Center for program information and application.
Perspective students will need to complete and return the application to the
Adult Workforce Education main office along with a non-refundable deposit of
$100.00 (payable to Adult Workforce Education). The balance of fees is due
the first day of class.
