Practical Nursing
Practical nursing provides individual and group nursing care which requires the application of basic knowledge of the biological, physical, social, and nursing sciences at the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician, dentist, podiatrist, optometrist or chiropractor.  An LPN is a practical nurse who has passed the state examination for licensure.  Nursing is a rapidly expanding field.  LPNs appreciate job opportunities in a variety of health care settings including long-term care, physicians' offices, school, home health care, governmental agencies and some acute care facilities
